(makes approx, 150 dumplings)
Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in the shortening. Mix one cup of this mixture with 1/4 cup milk. Drop by spoonfuls into syrup and bake at 350 degrees until biscuits are golden brown. Cooking time will vary depending on your oven and how warm the syrup is. Spoon biscuits and syrup into small serving dishes. May be served warm or cold.
*We especially like it served warm over a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
